Hello everyone! :)
I'd like to share my views on the demo lesson we had on Tuesday! The aim of the lesson was to make students understand and use lexis to express preference, likes and dislikes, and the topic was art!
I definitely loved the way the lesson started and I want to comment on it. I believe that when we have an efficient and encouraging lead-in moment, the chances to deliver a successful lesson are higher. I believe the lead-in can not only generate interest but also help make them aware of how important that topic is!
From now on, I intend to prepare more interesting and collaborative lead-in moments as that one!
See you preety soon,
Paula
p.s.: Fiona and Luca, please, feel free to correct my mistakes, ok!? I need to improve my writing skills!
It's surprising how effective a good lead-in can be, it really sets the tone and context for the lesson. One of my trainers once said that he liked to see students talking to each other within the first 5 minutes of the class, so a lead-in does exactly that.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, after a good lead-in the lesson will teach itself.
